We are having a special craft activity on April 4th where Ms. Beverly Shoemaker is going to show us how to do blown Easter eggs.
We had a great month of March. We had a great turn out for our Welcome back Bingo and wanted to say a special thank you to Girl Scout Troop 81069 for your donation of the beautiful Tea Basket, Tom Mullaney was the big winner. He won the beautiful basket as well as the Winner take all game. Congratulations Tom! We will be having bingo this month on April 6th and 20th so mark your calendars.
Zumba Gold is back. Come out on Fridays at 10:15-11 and have some fun working out while dancing.
I would like to invite you to coffee on Tuesday’s at 10; this is a time for us to get to know one another. We are also having tea on Thursday’s at 2:00. We would love for you to come by for a cuppa and a visit
Bunko or Farkle anyone?? We have Bunko on Thursday April 14th at 1:00 and Farkle Thursday April 28th at 1:00 please call the center to sign up.
The Thurmont Senior Center’s Knitting and Crocheting Group will be meeting April 12th at 11:00. They make New Born Baby Hats to give to the hospital. We are currently looking for donations of red, white and blue yarn. Directions for making the hats are available at the Senior Center. A very special thank you to Harvey Burnsteel for your generous yarn donation.
Pauline’s Pals will be meeting on April 19th at 1:00 for a fun crafting project.
We will be having our monthly fundraiser at Roy Roger’s on April 14th, 2022 from 5 -8 pm. Come out and see us and get some delicious goodies.
Did I mention if you are interested in volunteering here at the center. We can always use help serving lunch, working Bingo or other opportunities.
The Thurmont Senior Center is available to rent for different activities as well. Like perhaps a baby shower, a birthday party or a bridal shower.
Remember we have delicious lunches served every day at 12:00. The meals are $6.00 each. We would love to share a meal with you. Please call the day before to sign up for lunch. Menus are at the center and online on Facebook and our website.
