We will be having our monthly fundraiser at Roy Roger’s on October 13th, 2022 from 5 -8 pm. Come out and see us and get some delicious food as well as our phenomenal goodies. We would like to say a special THANK YOU to Carol Long and Nancy Rice for all of their dedication to baking special items for the bake sale.  Also, I would like to thank Jackie Campbell, Rita Anoh, Diane Fitzgerald, Janice and Moe Snyder for baking items for September’s bake sale when Nancy and Carol were unable to.  Who’s is ready for cake and ice cream, we will be celebrating birthdays on Thursday October 20th with special music from Patty and Brent Progecene

Don’t forget we have a donation box in the entry way for old prescription, readers or sunglasses.  Also, old hearing aids.  This is a recycle box for Lions Club International. If you have any old, broken glasses that you don’t know what to do with, bring them by here.  Speaking of donations if you would like to donate soda diet or regular, bottled water or individual sealed snack for our bingo snack table we would be so grateful. We always put on a spread of homemade goodies but also try to have chips and snacks available.   Also, I wanted to make sure everyone is aware that if you need a walker, canes, wheelchair we have them available to use.

We will be having our General Meeting and Pot Luck on Wednesday October 26th at 12:00

One of the things I love most about the center is being able to have a place to share a meal with each other. We would love to share a meal with you, we have delicious lunches served every day at 12:00.  We are so grateful to be getting meals from several locations in Thurmont. We would like to thank Mountain Gate, Kountry Kitchen, Rocky’s, Fratelli’s, and Bollinger’s for partnering with us. The meals are $6.00 each.  Please call the day before to sign up for lunch.  Menus are at the center and online on Facebook and our website thurmontseniorcenter.org.

Don’t forget the Thurmont Senior Center is available to rent for different activities such as a baby shower, a birthday party or a bridal shower.

As always if you have questions don’t hesitate to call us at 301-271-7911.

Just a reminder some activities may have a minimal cost but to join the center is absolutely free.
